Today is April 6th, International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. We invite everyone to stay active at home and maintain the team spirit.

The COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis of our time. Since its emergence late last year, the virus has spread to every continent except Antarctica.

The pandemic is moving like a wave—one that may yet crash on those least able to cope.

COVID-19 is testing our resilience across all sectors of the economy and areas of development.

It will take the efforts of everyone from individuals to governments working together to combat the threat.

Turkey’s first-ever “Capability and Digital Transformation Centre” establishes a new service that makes a difference for and reduces the burden of industrial businesses.

ASO Model Factory is now enhancing the Experiential Lean Production Training, provided to senior staff of more than 120 companies from different sectors, to a higher level through Learn and Transform Programmes.

Scholars of Engineer Girls of Turkey met in Istanbul.

Having started five years ago to increase the number of women engineers and ensure that women be more effective in business life and decision-making, the project “Engineer Girls of Turkey” continues to grow.

The number of climate-induced crises has been increasing in Turkey.

The project "Enhancing Adaptation Action in Turkey" aims to build societal resilience by strengthening climate change adaptation, particularly at the sector and urban level.

Humanity needs leadership and solidarity to defeat COVID-19.
As UNDP, we aim to help countries to urgently and effectively respond to the pandemic.
➡️ UNDP, WHO, Unicef and others just launched a partnership with Whatsapp. As all of us use it profusely, so it’s important to know about all of its features. #StayHome

“The COVID-19 epidemic, if not managed correctly, could widen existing inequalities.

We are fully committed to using our resources to the utmost to support the most-affected countries.”
